HERE IS THE SAD STORY OF FORMER PRESIDENT KIBAKI’S BODYGUARD NOW WORKS AS A WATCHMAN…

 

David Maina Wambugu, then General Service Unit, officer was in a similar auto with Kibaki when it was included in a mischance while coming back to Nairobi from open rally in Machakos amid races battles in December 3, 2002.The 44 year old reviews the episode impeccably. “It was one of the most exceedingly bad days of my life. I simply recollect that it was around 6.30pm and it was raining vigorously as we moved toward Mombasa Road when we were included in the mischance. I woke up days after the fact in healing facility bed.”

Wambugu who now relies on upon well-wishers to foot hospital expenses endured crushed appendages and head and spirit wounds. Kibaki got to be President and had no second thoughts paying Wambugu’s doctor’s visit expenses through State House for over two years.

In any case, then some of his supervisors found he was in contact with Kibaki without taking after convention. His correspondence with State House was controlled. At that point he was rejected from the administration. He was 32. “What torments me the most is the way a few people felt awful that the President was balance my bills going amongst Sh3,000 and Sh20,000 just,” says the father of four who moved his family to the town.
